Okay, but shouldn't there be a separate site for "the rock"? Some of us come here for news and reviews about horror movies, and now we have to dig through all of this MUSICK stuff that, indeed, "has nothing to do with horror" in order to find the occasional set visit or movie review. It's not clear what Timpone is trying to do here, aside from making a little more money, while driving all the regular readers away to any of the other genre sites that haven't tried to become Spin Magazine.

|2009-11-08 18:26:17 Peter Dong - I like it but -----
What's with all the horror sites doing music now? Fango, Bloody-Disgusting, DreadCentral, Fearnet, Shock? It's like overnight everyone changed.
Not complaining because I actually like the coverage, but it all seems very sudden and calculated.
Times change I guess.

|2009-11-08 18:45:44 WeirdArchives - Put the praise or blame on RUE MORGUE, if you wish
That Canadian magazine dealing with the Horror community (and FANGORIA's main rival) has been dealing with Rock and Horror for a few years now, both in print and on its website. So, naturally the field follows the pioneer. (Course, Rock and Horror have been kissing cousins even before RUE MORGUE starting giving bands and musicans a spot in its table. Just look at Alice Cooper.)

"Brother/sister duo"? Really? They're ex-husband and wife.
-
|2009-11-07 18:50:18 James Zahn - You're absolutely right...
The funny part is that this is the press release sent out by Harmonix. Just copied & pasted. Every site on their PR list received the same erroneous information. Thousands of sites.
-
|2009-11-07 19:14:52 WeirdArchives - Understandable...
But as Ronald Reagan once said, "Trust, but verify.". Let's just put the blame on the idiot press agents and move on.
-
|2009-11-07 19:39:59 James Zahn - Indeed...
But the whole "brother/sister" thing was a part of their schtick at one point, so that may be what the PR folks were tying into.
Either way, they have songs coming to ROCK BAND, and this is the announcement.
Talkbacks have been kind of hostile lately!

|2009-11-07 22:04:35 WeirdArchives - No kidding.
Seems the usual suspects have been doing the same ol' horse y'all warned everyone about. So much for gentle but firm warnings about playing nice. (And this applies to the postings on most of the articles here and not just this one.)
I wonder who are these idjuts who keep on stepping on the cake.
