Eric Garcia is the author of the ANONYMOUS REX series, MATCHSTICK MEN and CASSANDRA FRENCH’S FINISHING SCHOOL FOR BOYS. His latest work, REPO MEN, was initially published as THE REPOSSESSION MAMBO last year, but was retitled and rereleased in March to coincide with Universal Pictures’ film adaptation hitting theaters March 19.

Artist Isabel Samaras has become know for her iconic pop-culture artwork featuring not only countless movie monsters, but also many other TV greats including characters from BEWITCHED and THE MUNSTERS. Born in New York City, she moved to the suburbs of Washington, D.C. when she was young, but New York is a city with a strong gravitational pull, and shortly after graduating high school, she returned home.

Fango got ahold of an exclusive pic from Srdjan Spasojevic’s A SERBIAN FILM (SRPSKI FILM), which has its world premiere this week at Austin, TX’s South by Southwest fest (as part of the SX Fantastic lineup, programmed by Fantastic Fest) and will also screen at Montreal’s Fantasia. Director Joshua Grannell sent along the sixth teaser poster for his horror/comedy ALL ABOUT EVIL, which happily showcases his Peaches Christ alter ego, whom he describes as a “midnight movie maven and underground drag superstar.” See it after the jump.

The Australian MEG [Make-up Effects Group] FX team have been plying their trade for the better part of the last two decades, providing ever-excellent special makeup work for the likes of THE MATRIX, FEED, MAN-THING, NIGHTMARES AND DREAMSCAPES, the Asian features DOUBLE VISION and SILK and many others (see a gallery at the end of this article). The last five or six years have also seen them trying to get their own feature off the ground, and it looks like that’ll finally happen soon with the zombie opus MARY DOE, for which they gave us a first look at the poster.

Indie producer/actor Joe Zaso sent along the skinny on the DVD release for his new sci-fi chiller BRAINCELL, and also revealed that he’ll be handling the domestic distribution on the German shocker GAME OVER.

By now, you’ve now doubt read about the changes coming to the pages of your favorite horror culture periodical. One of those changes—or rather, additions—will be a new monthly feature called Sound Shock (premiering in issue #293, on sale in April), a column dedicated to horror film scores and soundtracks and the visionary musicians who create them.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced a street date and specs for DAYBREAKERS, the alternative-vampire-world thriller by Aussie writer/directors Michael and Peter Spierig.
