Platinum Dunes’ remake of Wes Craven’s A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET is certainly generating buzz and heated debate, and we’ve got the new UK poster for you to check out.

The title of THE BLACK WATERS OF ECHO’S POND is a tad misleading, inasmuch as the action doesn’t take place around the titular body of water. “Echo’s Pond” is a facet of an ancient board game that causes all the trouble for the characters and is one of the unique features of this indie chiller, whose actual setting (an isolated vacation house on an island off the coast of Maine) is rather more generic.

We first told you back here about an upcoming chiller from 28 WEEKS LATER director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo called INTRUDERS. Now more details have been announced, including the film’s leading men.

At this point in the history of cinema, and more specifically horror cinema, the description “a group of friends head to a cabin” is enough to make any moderately experienced genre fan sick, and not without good reason. For almost 30 years now, we’ve been inundated with flicks that displace youth into the woods, only for them to fall prey to a masked killer/hungry monster/evil spirit that just happens to reside there. So what exactly is different about THE BLACK WATERS OF ECHO’S POND, which is just such a story, you ask? A lot, in fact.

Yesterday, we gave you a look at the third one-sheet poster for TRUE BLOOD’s year three. Today, we have 13 images from the upcoming season.

It goes where MARTYRS feared to tread. Undoubtedly one of, if not the most extreme horror movies ever made, A SERBIAN FILM—or, as it’s known in Belgrade, SRPSKI FILM—overshadows that Parisian shocker and kicks it to death for good measure. It throttles AMERICAN PSYCHO and spits in the eye of FACES OF DEATH. HOSTEL doesn’t even come close. It’s a film that leaves no stone unturned or takes prisoners—and we’ve got a bunch of exclusive photos and behind-the-scenes pics after the jump!

After Hector and Dorena rip off their crystal meth supplier, they hide out in an abandoned house to cook up the stolen product. But before they can finish their batch and run off to the Caribbean, they descend into a speed-fueled world of paranoia and insanity. Is the decrepit house haunted by the ghost of a murdered young girl? Are their delusions real and assassins are lurking in the woods? Or are Hector and Dorena victims of drug-induced hallucinations?

The folks who brought you the Texas Bloodbath Film Festival are back with a one-of-a-kind genre weekend, the Fears for Queers GLBT Film Festival, and they want to recruit your movies. Andrew Rose (pictured), co-host of the Horror Society podcast and owner of DOA Bloodbath Entertainment, has teamed up with queer independent filmmaker Shawn Ewert to bring a horror rainbow flag to a decidedly red state. But is Bush country ready for queer horror?

Filmax, the Spanish company behind the bulk of Spain’s most high-profile fright fare in recent years—most recently Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza’s [REC] movies—has now gotten involved with another genre title, a “dark fantasy thriller” titled VERBO.

HALLOWEEN’s Brad Dourif is the star of director Justin Steele’s new film DEATH AND CREMATION, which has a new teaser trailer and an official website. Read on for more!

Writer/director Dante Tomaselli, whose previous stylized fright features include SATAN’S PLAYGROUND, HORROR and DESECRATION, is getting rolling on his latest film TORTURE CHAMBER. The filmmaker got in touch to give us a cast/character breakdown and more info on the flick.
