Edward Furlong, soon to be seen in the NIGHT OF THE DEMONS remake, and THE HILLS HAVE EYES’ Michael Berryman are starring in the independent thriller BELOW ZERO, and this one, as the title suggests, is a true chiller.

A warm, funny James Cameron was the center of an “Is Pandora Possible?” lecture at Pasadena’s Cal Tech, where he and several revered scientists—Jess Adkins, John P. Grotzinger, Jared Leadbetter and Robert Hurt—debated the feasability of the alien world in the writer/director’s AVATAR. (The billion-dollar grosser went out on DVD and Blu-ray last week.) Chatting about extraterrestrial worlds eventually led Cameron to address ALIEN—specifically the prequel to the classic sci-fi horror film that original director Ridley Scott is developing (see our last item here).

Just imagine Mace Windu and Lando Calrissian teaming up against the Empire—an unmatched display of smooth-talking, profanity-spewing bad-assery. Such a fate has befallen our favorite four-man teams of zombie hunters, thanks to the fan-friendly folks at Valve Software.

A new slasher attempts to make his mark on the horror scene with CHAIN LETTER, produced by Deon Taylor Enterprises and Twisted Pictures, the latter being the folks behind the SAW franchise. New Films International is taking it to theaters, and informed Fango of the cities it’ll hit.
