Forget about Roddy Pipper and Keith David duking it out in THEY LIVE. Syfy showed a sneak preview of MEGA PYTHON VS. GATOROID at Comic-Con, and while the channel’s upcoming Original Movie has a big snake facing off against a ginormous gator, the highlight fight has to be the showdown between the ’80s pop singers. “It’s been a busy 12 months” for director David DeCoteau, who gave Fango the word on his latest batch of low-budget genre features. Among them is a new adaptation of H.G. Wells’ THE FOOD OF THE GODS, for which he sent along a couple of exclusive photos.

The trailer for 30 DAYS OF NIGHT: DARK DAYS, the sequel to David Slade’s vampire thriller (based on the second book in Steve Niles’ graphic novel series) has hit the web, and you can see it after the jump. The follow-up debuts on DVD and Blu-ray October 5 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

There’s blood on the corn when the slasher feature THE MAZE arrives on DVD this October. Monarch Home Video is releasing the disc, and gave Fango a first look at the cover art, which you can see after the jump.

“Sins may be forgiven. But conscience is a killer.” Year five of Showtime’s hit series DEXTER, starring Michael C. Hall, premieres Sunday, September 26, and a promo you can watch after the jump played over the weekend at Comic-Con. WARNING: Major spoilers for those who didn’t see season four.

Possibly the grisliest entry in the eight-film FANGORIA FrightFest lineup (available through Blockbuster stores and Blockbuster By Mail, as well as digitally via Blockbuster On Demand, beginning August 6) is the cannibal shocker GRIMM LOVE. This twisted romance is based on the real-life case of cannibal Armin Meiwes, who gained worldwide notoriety when he ate Jurgen Brandes, a man who responded to an on-line ad Meiwes placed seeking someone who would allow themselves to be consumed.

Last December, the producers of RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE granted FANGORIA exclusive access to the Toronto set of the fourth chapter in their action/horror franchise, derived from the best-selling Capcom video games. For 10 weeks, right up to AFTERLIFE’s September 10 release from Screen Gems, Fangoria.com is presenting a series of one-on-one interviews with the movie’s cast and crew.

After collaborating on LEGION, director Scott Charles Stewart and actor Paul Bettany reteamed for PRIEST, a postapocalyptic SF-thriller (based on the graphic novel) set in an alternate world where humans and vampires have been at war for centuries. Check out the PRIEST preview after the jump.

Legendary Pictures revealed the first peek at the Big G from its upcoming remimagining of GODZILLA at Comic-Con—and this incarnation is a far cry from the “nuclear lizard” on display in Roland Emmerich’s 1998 disaster. Check out the artwork after the jump.
