When we last heard from MADISON COUNTY writer/director Eric England and actor/producer Ace Marrero, the film was gearing up for production in rural Arkansas (see previous item here). Since then, there’s been blood, guts, all sorts of insects, a Fango set visit and a wrap on principal photography, and England and Marrero have checked in again with updates on the film and exclusive looks at Nick Principe (LAID TO REST’s Chromeskull) as the tale’s grisly slasher, Damien. “We’re picture-locked on the edit and moving on to sound design and music,” England tells Fango. “The film looks amazing, and I think we really captured what we were going for. I’m very proud of what everyone has done thus far. The trailer and posters are being worked on at the moment and should be out soon!”

Marrero echoes the director’s sentiments, saying, “When we started, we always said, ‘If we can shoot at least half of what we have on the page in terms of quality and story, we’ll be in great shape,’ and we succeeded beyond our expectations. Our composer, Igor Nemirovsky, is hard at work. He did some work on our little teaser, but that didn’t even scratch the surface of what he’s capable of. We’re looking to have everything all out the door, ready to go probably mid-January.”
