“We have such sights to show you.”

They’re immortal words, inspiring fear and horror ever since uttered by cruelest and most demonic creature of them all, Pinhead. He's a walking abomination, emblematic of Hell's deepest pits; a creature of unique vision and poetic justice who seeks pleasure in inflicting pain to the righteous and hypocritical. But what happens when he leaves Hell; When all that is his domain is suddenly under the rule of his most formidable human enemy, Kristy Cotton, the new reigning Queen of Cenobites? These are the questions that launch Boom Entertainment's mini HELLRAISER arc, THE ROAD BELOW. Hot on the heels of Clive Barker's return, this four issue mini-series promises to be as perverse and terrifying as its predecessor.

The name, Bedlam instantly calls images of a mentally disturbed individual shuffling around the antique halls of an outdated psychiatric institution, while rattling his chains around like a ghost. Though that particular Bedlam has been cast aside for a more updated hospital, the name still evokes chills down our spines. The comic BEDLAM (out now from Image) is no exception when it comes bringing the same amount of brutality as its namesake, virtually dripping the pages in violence and eye-popping surprises while evoking a long-forgotten fear of the demented. The story will follow you from page one, all the way to the next three books you read.

Vampires have been around for many a day. From Dracula to Brad Pitt, they’ve been burning up our screens, as well as our hearts. Save for a few minor indiscretions, these creatures of the night have always been a horror favorite. They are deadly, brutal, elusive, and sometimes, completely smoking hot. The latter, of course, being Vampirella, one of the few and far between female vampires who proved herself not only being just as vicious as her male counterparts, but has a shelf-life that outlasts most of them as well. After shuffling back and forth between several companies, our sexy lady of the night has found a new home at Dynamite Comics and is back to starring in strange, grotesque tales of fear. Her recent adventure finds her pitted against a parody of a long time vampire crusher, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the equally under dressed, Fluffy the Vampire Killer.

DARK HORSE PRESENTS was the very first title launched by the publisher in 1986, and has set the standard for the strange and unique comics to follow its stead. Though Dark Horse now has literally tons of works to its name, DHP is still remembered as a series that many of us had cut our teeth on in terms of indie horror, sci-fi, and noir comics.

It's that time of year again! The time when children dress up in their spookiest attire, parents sigh and shuffle along with their little hell-beasts as they collect candy, and every channel on TV plays the most terrifyingly edited horror movies they can get their hands on. That's right, it's Halloween, probably the best holiday of the entire year, but not everyone shares its dreams of candy corn and mischievous fun. When you're stuck working all night, dressing ill-fitting costumes on late-coming merry-makers, you'd be sore on the whole prospect too. Such is the new one-shot HALLOWEEN EVE (out now from Image Comics), about a girl, a costume shop, and the true spirit of Halloween.

Cemeteries have always held a mysterious place in the human heart. It is a place where living souls come to mourn those who have passed on, while waiting for the next person to die. Though the cemetery itself is nothing more than headstones and rot, many people have come to avoid them and fear them, while some use them as sanctuaries.

CREEPY has been scaring kids since your daddy's day. While you were still a twinkle in his eye, he was staying up late at night, covered in a blanket, with a flashlight in one hand and a CREEPY in the other. With its twisted tales of morality, the iconic comic has been a staple of the horror genre for many a year, entertaining both children and adults for generations. Originally started in 1964, CREEPY has stood the test of time, and is now widely available through the fine folks at Dark Horse comics.
