The haunting Irish ghost film, THE ECLIPSE (read our previous feature here and see our last video interview with links to the other two here) is currently releasing across the U.S. thanks to Magnolia Pictures, and today FANGORIA brings you the final in a series video interviews with director Conor McPherson and star Ciaran Hinds. Read on for the clip!
THE ECLIPSE tells the story of Michael Farr (Hinds) a widower raising his two children alone and plagued by strange and eerie happenings in his home. As an annual literary festival rolls into town, Michael volunteers and is assigned to look after Lena Morelle (Iben Hjejle), an author of books concerning the supernatural. Believing she can help and happy to meet someone who will accept his fears as reality, the two soon become friendly but eventually their relationship is complicated by Lena’s past fling (Aidan Quinn) and Michael’s escalating haunting.
Below, FANGORIA's Tony Timpone talks with director Conor McPherson about marketing THE ECLIPSE and his stage play adaptation of THE BIRDS.
