HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN is blasting its way through Canadian theaters and just became available on-demand via U.S. distributor Magnet Releasing, which also sends it to theaters next month. Rutger Hauer stars in this over-the-top gorefest as the titular vengeful vagabond, who blows away the criminal scum terrorizing Hope City. This week, we’re presenting a multipart video interview by Fango’s Michael Gingold with HOBO director Jason Eisener (shot and edited by ace videographer Bill Hall), and you can see the first installment after the jump.

In this clip, Eisener discusses the origins of HOBO and the faux trailer (created for a GRINDHOUSE-sponsored contest) that spawned it.
