Fangoria and Revolver Entertainment are giving away ten DVD copies of the film TONY. Read on for the info!

I remember when I first learned of Peter Jackson’s perversely subversive, delightfully dissolute, pricelessly profligate MEET THE FEEBLES. I had never heard of the film or director Peter Jackson before, but after reading the VHS review in FANGORIA Magazine (I was a teenage reader back then) and seeing it billed as “The Muppets on acid,” I immediately started making phone calls to the video stores in my area.

FANGORIA friend/musician/artist/Renaissance man Voltaire has made a new animated short film called DEMIURGE EMESIS with Danny Elfman and the band Rasputina. Elfman, a Fango fave himself for his many genre-film compositions, provided narration, while Rasputina performed the score.

Alexandre Aja’s forthcoming PIRANHA 3D may be extradimensional, star Elisabeth Shue and feature a wet T-shirt contest emceed by Eli Roth, but does it have Barry Williams, better known as THE BRADY BUNCH’s Greg? MEGA PIRANHA does—and it’s got former teen pop star Tiffany as well. The Asylum production debuts this Saturday, April 10 at 9 p.m. EST on Syfy, and you can see a new promo clip for it after the jump.

If you’re a gay horror fan and you haven’t heard of Michael Simon’s romantic comedy GAY ZOMBIE, you’re just not paying attention. Having screened in almost every gay and/or genre film festival in the U.S. and abroad, as well as being omnipresent on Logo, GAY ZOMBIE is a well-made horror short that refuses to die.

Writer/director Lonnie Martin’s WOMEN’S STUDIES is heading for DVD, video-on-demand and pay-per-view in the coming months, in a newly edited version. To mark the occasion, Martin has cut a new trailer for the movie, and we’ve got the exclusive first look below the jump!

This past weekend, Fango caught up with genre favorite Tony Todd at I-CON, an annual sci-fi/fantasy convention held on Long Island, NY. The star of the CANDYMAN films towered over this writer at almost six and a half feet, and it was hard not to be intimidated while standing next to him. The fact that your correspondent couldn’t look in a mirror for years after first seeing CANDYMAN didn‘t help the situation either. At least no hooks were in sight during the interview…

Remember the animated Disney movie ALADDIN? OK, now totally forget about it. Radical Comics’ ALADDIN: LEGACY OF THE LOST is a reinterpretation of “Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp,” a story from that incredibly influential collection of Middle Eastern/South Asian stories and folklore tales, ONE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS. But rest assured, this isn’t your daddy’s Aladdin…

HBO and IDW Publishing have announced an exclusive partnership to produce a comic-book series based on creator Alan Ball’s hit series TRUE BLOOD. The comic series will explore the ongoing adventures of telepathic heroine Sookie Stackhouse, her vampire lover Bill Compton, her best friend Tara Thornton, her brother Jason Stackhouse, vampire sheriff Eric Northman, loyal boss Sam Merlotte, perpetual-virgin vampire Jessica and flamboyant cook/drug dealer Lafayette Reynolds.

Move over Taylor Lautner, there’s a new werewolf with abs in town. Frankly, I’m more of a Robert Pattinson guy myself, but for those who like their lycanthropes fit rather than fierce, ONE TREE HILL’s Joe Manganiello is playing the werewolf Alcide in TRUE BLOOD’s Season Three.

Another cabin in the woods becomes a refuge from supernatural terrors in ENTER NOWHERE. The independent thriller starts rolling this week in Southampton, NY under the direction of first-timer Jack Heller.

Introducing an article on someone as iconic as filmmaker George A. Romero in the pages of Fango is daunting, as he shouldn’t really require an introduction at all. But for the sake of this feature, let’s just say that, living or undead, film history has never seen an artist quite like him.
