Screenwriter/actor Phil Nichols sent over a batch of exclusive photos from RENFIELD THE UNDEAD, the independent genre feature in which he plays the title role. Shooting just wrapped in Texas on the Champion Entertainment/Poison Apple Films/Renfield LLC production, directed by Bob Willems of S.I.C.K. SERIAL INSANE CLOWN KILLER, who also produced with Nichols.

Set in Bayou City, TX, the story follows two detectives (Paul Damon and Calvin LaFiton) on the trail of the “Bayou City Butcher,” who has decapitated and drained the blood from a series of victims—and whose reign of terror has coincided with a dramatic rise in the local rodent and insect population. It turns out that the killer is Renfield, former slave of Dracula, who carries his old master’s skull and ashen remains with him. He’s also being pursued by Mina and Quincy Harker (Roxy Cook and Tyler Tackett), bride and son of the Count, who want to resurrect him. The cast also includes John Stevens as Dracula, Keli Wolfe, Julin (from SWEATSHOP, SPIRIT CAMP and BOGGY CREEK) and WALKING DISTANCE director Mel House, with creatures and special makeup by Facades FX.
