Lock up your fathers in Toronto! Father's Day comes early this year as Fright Nights (at The Projection Booth, 1035 Gerrard St E) is getting taken over by the five-man directing team of Astron-6 on June 9! Read on to find out how to see the lastest show for free!
The now infamous Troma film won the audience award at Toronto After Dark last year, and finally makes its first return to the big screen in Toronto for one night only on June 9th. Lead actress Amy Groening (Chelsea) along with Astron-6 co-directors Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie will be in attendance for an introduction and Q&A afterwards. The evening will be hosted by Fango film writer and your master of ceremonies, Kelly Michael Stewart. Amazing prizes will be given out courtesy of FANGORIA Magazine and Suspect Video and the Astron-6 shorts NO MATTER WHAT...YOU'RE DEAD! (Toronto premiere) and INFERNO OF THE DEAD will also be shown, plus a few other surprises.
FATHER'S DAY tells the twisted story of Ahab (Adam Brooks), a man obsessed with exacting a brutal, violent revenge on the man who murdered his dad, joining John (Matthew Kennedy), an eager priest, and Twink (Conor Sweeney), a hot-headed street hustler, on an epic quest to find and defeat this mythical monster known as Chris Fuchman (Mackenzie Murdock) AKA The Father's Day Killer.
