If you’ll be in the Richmond, Virginia area on Thursday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m., join curator Jeff Roll of the James River Film Society, Phil Ford of WRIR-97.3 LPFM Richmond Independent Radio, Bobby Morgan of Geeks of Doom, horror-film historian Doc Gillespie and Fango for an evening of jovial jitters at the Third Thursdays’ Halloween Horror Showcase.

First on the chopping block will be 2007’s PICKMAN’S MODEL, a haunting short film based on H.P. Lovecraft’s story of the same name. The main feature of the evening will be the 1988 cult classic PUMPKINHEAD, directed by FX master Stan Winston (a former Richmond native). But that’s not all! Props from the film will be on display, provided by Doc Gillespie of Goblin Market in Hollywood. You can also win Fango-provided prizes by testing your knowledge during the horror trivia contest, and enjoy free popcorn, Halloween candy and many other surprise treats!

It’s sure to be a night fright fans wont want to miss! Check out the James River Film Society website for directions to the Visual Arts Center and more information.
