ZOMBIE is screening as part of Blue Underground’s North American midnight-show tour, and FANGORIA is pleased to present this blood-spattered Italian gore classic, now fully restored in hi-def with a mind-melting digital soundtrack, on Saturday, October 22 at Toronto’s Revue Cinema at 11:30 p.m. And we want to send you to see it.

Searching for a missing scientist, a group of hapless international actors get trapped on the tropical island of Matoul, where a mysterious plague has turned the locals into flesheating ghouls. Skin is ripped, guts are scarfed down and—in the picture’s most notorious moment—a human eyeball is impaled in hideous slow motion.

Horror journalist and Fango contributor Lianne Spiderbaby will host the event, giving away buckets of prizes. Preceding ZOMBIE will be Keith Hodder’s award-winning short film VAN GORE, shot and edited on a modest budget within a tight three-week time frame. VAN GORE was the winner of the HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN faux trailer contest earlier this year; its notable judges included Jason Eisener, Joe Dante, Katt Shea and Brian Trenchard-Smith.

Do not miss this screening! The first five Toronto-area residents to e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with “Matoul” in the subject line will win a double pass. Visit www.revuecinema.ca for more details.
