Attention, indie fright fans! FANGORIA is hosting a film festival at the upcoming Days of the Dead convention, running Friday-Sunday, July 1-3 in Indianapolis, Indiana. We have selected some of the best underground and independent features and shorts to screen continually throughout the weekend. See below the jump for the exciting lineup.

The story of six young volunteers working on a humanitarian project in the woods. Horrific accidents, rash decisions and the unpredictability of human nature lead them all to the same disturbing conclusion: Volunteer work can be a killer.

CARICE by Jack Bennett (50 minutes)
Clark and Kevin are a pair of average guys who share a mutual favorite pastime—but it takes a lot of work and care, and they can’t do it too often or they might get caught. It all begins with finding a nice girl. Tonight they found Caprice.

SATAN HATES YOU by James Felix McKenney (1 hour, 34 minutes; reviewed here)
An unusual little picture combining gory excess, issues of faith, black humor and low-budget New York City grit. If you’ve got an interest in eccentric genre fare with a lot of interesting stuff going on under the surface and in the margins, give it a try. After all, if you don’t, you may find yourself damned to burn forever in the fiery pits of hell!

THE COLLAPSED by Justin McConnell (1 hour, 20 minutes; reviewed here)
In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive. Taking to the forest, they soon discover the other survivors may be the least of their worries. Followed by Q&A with director and crew.

Sunday, July 3

CINEMALL by Gavin Shaw and Craig Belliveau (35 minutes)
A documentary that looks at the deep passion that still exists all these years later for PA’s Monroeville Mall, where DAWN OF THE DEAD was filmed, and the people who make the pilgrimage to visit the shopping mecca.

1 p.m.
DEAD GENESIS by Reese Eveneshen (1 hour, 35 minutes)
Seven months have passed since the dead took over. Many cities and states have been abandoned and left to die. Several self-sufficient hunting groups have been established to take on the threat in a conflict aptly referred to as the “War on Dead.”

3 p.m.
BREATH OF HATE by Sean Cain (1 hour, 35 minutes)
One last job, and Love is out of the erotic escort business. Unfortunately, that final gig is for a trio of escaped mental patients, who are looking to change the world—one victim at a time.
