The young actress and niece of superstar Julia Roberts is making her first foray into horror! Read on for more...
EW scored the exclusive that Roberts will be a part of the upcoming third sequel in the series, and even though story details are scant and being kept under serious wraps, she is expected to play Jill, one of the film's main protagonists.
Weekly spoke to Roberts about the casting where she had this to say,"I’m so excited to be part of this ground-breaking franchise. It’s the perfect opportunity for me to do something completely different than I’ve ever done before."
Wes Craven also spoke to the publication saying, "Emma’s talent, beauty, and range will add immensely to the sophistication, intensity, and fun of the Scream franchise as it returns to the screen once more."
No word on if Roberts casting effects rumors of Lake Bell, Ashley Greene and Hayden Panetierre being considered for the film, but I sure hope it means Panetierre is out.
