Are there any movies being made today that aren’t 3-D? Wes Craven’s MY SOUL TO TAKE (formerly titled 25/8) is the latest 2-D film to get the postproduction 3-D conversion.
Shock Till You Drop reports that Rogue and Universal are now in the process of adding another dimension to MY SOUL TO TAKE. We’ll reserve any judgment on the postproduction 3-D process, but it didn’t work so well for CLASH OF THE TITANS, and MY SOUL TO TAKE is still set for an October 29th release. Seems kind of rushed, doesn’t it? Meanwhile, Craven has his hands full getting SCREAM 4’s preproduction rolling. Anyway, for those of you who don’t know much about the film, here’s the lowdown:
“In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answers.
“Adam ‘Bug’ Heller (Max Thierot) was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest…until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.”
