As zombies remain prevalent in all areas of pop culture—the last six months alone have seen them invade kids film and teen romance onscreen—are they, like in WARM BODIES and the below BBC series, somehow growing less stale?
WARM BODIES was sprightly precisely because it focused on a zombie. Whereas THE WALKING DEAD remains about the tired eyes and ongoing battles of survivors, with little depth left for its corpses, the likes of BODIES and hopefully IN THE FLESH aim to expand the idea of what zombies are and what they can do.
Lensed through the eyes of undead Kieren Walker, IN THE FLESH is set seemingly long after the apocalypse as "treated zombies are rehabilitated back into society." The first teaser is below. The series does not have a premiere date on BBC Three, which means we're certainly a ways off from it hitting stateside, but you can learn much more at the official site. [h/t STYD]
