In the original trailer for Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece of modern horror, audiences were introduced to the iconic elevators that spill an overwhelming amount of blood. It soaks the floor, the walls and eventually the screen, as if you're now awash in it. For many, including the six profiled in ROOM 237, they were. It was as if the blood spilled directly out of their televisions and VCR's, coating them in something unforgettable, dense and mindbending. A quite literal, and stunning translation of such follows in the first trailer for ROOM 237, a film made up of only clips from THE SHINING and other films, with no talking heads so that the theories, however ridiculous, have a chance to bleed and weave into and out of each other and bring you to a state where you just may consider the silliest one.
