An prize-winning independent chiller starring one of Fango’s favorite actors is coming to disc this spring.

Monarch Home Entertainment will release Scooter Downey’s IT’S IN THE BLOOD on DVD April 23. Genre veteran Lance Henriksen stars as Russell, a father who takes his estranged son (Sean Elliot, who also scripted with Downey) on trip into the woods, hoping they can reconnect. Instead, Russell winds up breaking his leg, stranding the two of them in the foreboding forest, where tragic events from their past and a literal demon begin tormenting them. Acclaimed and awarded at several horror festivals, IT’S IN THE BLOOD has no special features announced for the disc yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Have a look at the trailer below the cover art.
