No mere rehash, the second red band trailer for Fede Alvarez's remake manages to build on every disgusting moment that excited you in the first.
If EVIL DEAD 2013 ends up a disappointment there may, in fact, be an air of depression around my home. Maybe it's because we haven't seen studio horror look to push as far as these trailers do in a long while, but a mad, gory theatrical experience in the spirit of Sam Raimi's original seems to be in order. I really hope it is.
The below clip is almost worth skipping. If you've seen the first, I'm positive you're sold, but what this masterfully does is add a bit more to each rowdy gag, culminating in what seems like another play of the split tongue that ends in a bloody, fleshy, sloppy kiss.
