A wicked mother, a devious uncle and a healthy bloodlust. STOKER's new one-sheet seems not to lie.
Empire premiered this UK poster for Park Chan-wook's upcoming English-language debut, and while it's not as immediately striking as this illustrated one, STOKER may be my most anticipated film of 2013. Chan-wook has yet to disappoint and all manner of lush, dark deeds promised in each trailer is intoxicating.
After India's (Mia Wasikowska) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother Evelyn (NicoleKidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.
STOKER is out March 1, 2013.
