The follow-up to this year's found footage anthology V/H/S has been officially titled S-VHS. Head below for a look at one of its most anticipated segments. 

Twitch brought news of the title, as well as the exclusive debut of the sequel's first still, a moment from the Gareth Evans/Timo Tjahjanto teamup segment. What exactly are we seeing? Whatever it is, everything, from that smile to whatever occult-like symbol is carved into this bloody, undressed man is already laying an unsettling foundation. The weapon-in-hand looks straight out of first person shooter. Are Evans and Tjahjanto playing with the clear parallel with verité-like horror?

Earlier this year, Evans brought us the hyper violent, showstopping THE RAID: REDEMPTION, while Tjahjanto has made a name for himself with MACABRE, as well as his standout contribution to the upcoming ABCs OF DEATH. Clearly, this is a collaboration that should be worth admission, alone. Fortunately, S-VHS boasts a tremendous roster all around, including the return of Adam Wingard & Simon Barrett (the latter, making his directorial debut), HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN's Jason Eisener and perhaps the godfather of this movement, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT's Eduardo Sanchez, who's co-directing with his producer Greg Hale.
