Italian-American filmmaker Mariano Baino (the operatic and surreal DARK WATERS) and his muse, actress, artist and musician Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni (DEMONS 2, MOTHER OF TEARS, OPERA, the album LIMBO BALLOON) have just informed Fango of their latest dark art project, and it’s an endeavor that needs your help.

Baino and Cataldi-Tassoni have begun sculpting an emotional, suspense-fueled psychological thriller called ASTRID’S SAINTS. It is the haunting tale of the beautiful Astrid (Cataldi-Tassoni), a grieving woman who discovers a dark wonderland in a mystical Brooklyn covered in snow.

The film is ambitious and unique, combining the pair’s combined European and American cinematic and artistic sensibilities, but it’s a project that is squarely aiming at fan support to get it off the ground. To do this, they have launched a Kickstarter campaign to summon the funds needed to bring Astrid's intense, supernatural world to life.

Starting Monday, Oct 15th (i.e. now) and ending Friday, December 14 at 8 p.m., the campaign aims to raise $400,000 towards the budget of the film with many rewards being offered for their proposed backers.
