The official teaser for Kimberly Peirce's CARRIE has debuted and much like I thought at NYCC this weekend, it's a bit difficult to tell anything about the movie itself. We know it'll take a cue from the book's finale in that all of Chamberlain, Maine really gets it, not just the school and White home. We can also glean the film will go back to the novel's framing device of Sue Snell's account of what happened, which explains this film's big tag, "What happened to Carrie?"

I hope that interview won't get much in the way. Peirce is a great choice of director and at the Comic Con panel (which you can watch below), she seemed to really hone in on the mother/daughter aspect, finding something to creatively latch on to.

Hopefully, we'll see some actual footage from the film soon. CARRIE is out March 15, 2013.
