Dario Argento fans have been waiting to hear if the Italian maestro’s dimensional DRACULA will see the light of U.S. projectors, and now the answer is a confirmed yes.

Fango has learned that IFC Films has snagged the rights to DRACULA 3D and will release it under the IFC Midnight label in 2013; further details are forthcoming. The latest vision of Bram Stoker’s classic, starring Thomas Kretschmann as Dracula, Rutger Hauer as Abraham Van Helsing and Asia Argento as Lucy, joins a heavy IFC lineup of fright fare for next year, including Peter Strickland’s BERBERIAN SOUND STUDIO, Franck Khalfoun’s MANIAC remake, Brandon Cronenberg’s ANTIVIRAL, Neil Jordan’s BYZANTIUM, Ben Wheatley’s SIGHTSEERS, Justin Dix’s CRAWLSPACE, Jon Wright’s GRABBERS and a pair of genre-oriented documentaries, Rodney Ascher’s SHINING examination ROOM 237 and Chris James Thompson’s JEFFREY DAHMER FILES. Dario Argento’s in good company…
