Stephen King is as busy as ever these days, with two
new novels set to debut next year. The cover for one has just hit the net, and
you can see it past the jump.
EW got the first look at the cover for JOYLAND, coming next June from Hard Case Crime. (King’s other 2013 tome is the eagerly awaited SHINING sequel DR. SLEEP, arriving September 24.) JOYLAND is about a college student who takes a job as a carny at a North Carolina amusement park and becomes caught up with a vicious murderer and a dying child. It will be available only in printed form, not on-line, as King revealed a little while back: “I loved the paperbacks I grew up with as a kid, and for that reason, we’re going to hold off on e-publishing this one for the time being. JOYLAND will be coming out in paperback, and folks who want to read it will have to buy the actual book.”
