Rides.tv's new horror anthology DARK WALL has unveiled its first installment, the voices-in-your-head tale, WHISPERS.
A series of horror shorts, DARK WALL looks to be a neato interactive endeavor in which macabre tales play and a host of participatory options are available throughout, including bonus scenes, texts and phone calls to fill in the eerie goings-on.
As anthologies are on the rise (and why wouldn't they be in a culture of bite sized portions of video and online content), DARK WALL lays an interesting tone down from the get-go, with your host speaking through a digital means and a first segment from George Ratliff, who previously helmed the excellent JOSHUA.
In WHISPERS, "a father and his mentally-ill son are living in an isolated farmhouse in winter. When the father suffers a terrible accident, the son is left to cope on his own, with only the voices in his head to help him survive – but these whispers don’t seem to be his friend."
I'm about a third of the way through WHISPERS and it's a good time, for sure. The bonus bits aren't intrusive, and end up being quite fun to take part in. You can check WHISPERS out at Rides.tv (or clicking below) and keep up with the series at their official Facebook.
