DEAD SUSHI, the latest exercise in over-the-top-ness from
Japan’s Noboru Iguchi, has its world premiere this Sunday at Montreal’s
Fantasia festival, and we’ve got an exclusive taste of it below the jump!
Scripted by Iguchi and Jun Tsugita, DEAD SUSHI stars young
martial-arts up-and-comer Rina Takeda as Keiko, a girl who aspires to be a
great sushi chef, but winds up fighting off the fishy food when it comes to
murderous life at a rural inn where she works. The Fantasia screening takes
place on Sunday, July 22 at 7:10 p.m. at the Concordia Hall theater, with
Iguchi, Takeda, executive producer Katsumi Otani, producer Mana Fukui and
composer Yasuhiko Fukuda in attendance; see more details here.
