We broke the first details here about the forthcoming special-edition DVD and Blu-ray releases of the early-’80s favorites THE FUNHOUSE and TERROR TRAIN (pictured), and now we’ve got confirmed specs and art to share.

Shout! Factory releases both movies October 16 as part of its Scream Factory line. Tobe Hooper’s FUNHOUSE, set at a carnival where two teen couples are menaced by a deformed monster, will be available separately on DVD and Blu-ray, with 2.35:1 anamorphic transfers and DTS 5.1 Master Audio. Special features include audio commentary with Hooper, hosted by filmmaker Tim Sullivan, the theatrical trailer, TV/radio spots and more to be announced. Roger Spottiswoode’s TERROR TRAIN, starring Jamie Lee Curtis as one of a group of college kids who become the victims of a vengeful railroad-riding maniac, will be issued in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, with 1.85:1 anamorphic transfers. This one will come with commentary by Spottiswoode, a still gallery, theatrical trailer and TV spots and, again, more to be announced.

Order these titles direct from Shout! Factory’s store (FUNHOUSE DVDFUNHOUSE Blu-ray and TERROR TRAIN combo) and you’ll get an 18x24” poster featuring the newly commissioned artwork, but act fast ’cause less than 500 of each have been printed.
