The monthly Fright Nights at The Projection Booth (1035 Gerrard Street East) series returns this Saturday, July 7th at 8 p.m., and is giving you two great flicks for the price of one. This month sees a Canadian grindhouse double shot, with homegrown horror flicks IF A TREE FALLS and KILL (with a major portion of the proceeds going to charity). IF A TREE FALLS and KILL have never been shown theatrically in Toronto and the is only time you'll ever get to see this pair on the big screen in this unique event.
Directors Gabriel Carrer (the upcoming IN THE HOUSE OF FLIES) and Chad Archibald (NEVERLOST) will be in attendance along with many of the cast and crew. Hosted, as always, by FANGORIA scribe and Toronto film enthusiast Kelly Michael Stewart, there will also be some amazing prizes from Fango and Suspect Video waiting to be won.
You can see both films for only $10 at the door with a major portion of the proceeds going to the "Drop in the Bucket" foundation. "Drop in the Bucket" is a Los Angeles-based water and sanitation charity, with field offices in Uganda and South Sudan. Legendary rocker Henry Rollins is a spokesperson for the charity and also stars in IN THE HOUSE OF FLIES.
