Surely, this is the most badass Maggie's ever been.
EW premiered two new photos from THE WALKING DEAD's highly anticipated third season, which sees our survivors enter the much beloved "prison" and "Governor" phases from the comics.
The photos give a tease to the trouble they'll find themselves in clearing the prison out. And while the first of Rick & co. back to back in preparation (head to EW to see it) is all fine and well, there's no question the real winner is Maggie, who's about go in on this undead inmate.
Showrunner Glen Mazzara says, “I’m incredibly proud of the prison. I think our crew has done a great job. It’s a huge sense of scale and magnitude I haven’t seen on any other show as far as construction. What’s important to us is the prison itself is now a character in the show. It’s a haunted house, it’s scary, it’s frightening, and there are parts of the prison that are always terrifying, that are always inaccessible to our group. It’s not necessarily the blessing that the prison in the comic book turned out to be.”
THE WALKING DEAD returns this fall. You can catch the first look at season three during AMC's marathon of the series over this weekend (July 7-8). If you're at San Diego Comic Con next week, you can see THE WALKING DEAD take over Hall H Friday, July 13 at 1:25 p.m.
