Anthologies have been missed! Thankfully, Magnolia has two on deck this year, and the first, found footage omnibus V/H/S, saw the premiere of its red band trailer this evening.

Having seen the highly anticipated midnight movie at SXSW, I can tell you that V/H/S slays. Filmmakers Adam Wingard & Simon Barrett, Ti West, Joe Swanberg, Glenn McQuaid, David Bruckner and Radio Silence collectively bring something wicked fun to the screen with scary, varied forays into the current horror aesthetic du jour. 

But truthfully, while this trailer is damn appetizing, it has no qualms showing some of the film's best moments; moments that work best late at night, in a packed house (certainly where I'd like to see it again). Still, you'll have no issue experiencing them again after your first glimpse below. 

V/H/S is on demand August 31 and in theaters October 5.
