As we reported this morning, Paul Hough’s THE HUMAN RACE will world-premiere at Montreal’s Fantasia festival
next month. Writer/director Hough got in touch with an exclusive pic from the
movie and word on how you can help it across the finish line.
The saga of a marathon in which the contestants are forced to literally run for their lives, THE HUMAN RACE has been in the works for a little while (we previously reported on it here). Now it’s in the home stretch, and Hough and co. are raising last-minute funds to put the finishing touches on the sound and visual FX. They’ve set up a Kickstarter page where you can nab all kinds of cool rewards in exchange for donations.
“We’re doing this campaign to get the film finished,” Hough tells Fango. “It sure has taken a while—and that’s because it’s an independent movie that was financed piece by piece as we went along. We never had the money to do it any other way. But now the film is cut, and we have a month in which to finish it before the premiere at Fantasia. It is unique, unpredictable and exciting, and if anyone who loves horror in the fan community can help, we would appreciate it sincerely.” THE HUMAN RACE stars Paul McCarthy-Boyington, Eddie McGee, Trista Robinson (pictured below), T. Arthur Cottam and Brianna Lauren Jackson, with supporting turns by CRITICIZED director Richard Gale, film critic Luke Y. Thompson and indie-horror stalwart Domiziano Arcangeli.
