This weekend, Los Angeles' beloved New Beverly played host to Clive Barker and the highly anticipated "Cabal Cut" of NIGHTBREED. Check out some brief snippets of the Q&A below!

Clive Barker, alongside star Craig Sheffer, Seraphim Films' Mark Miller and restoration director Russell Cherrington introduced the two-and-a-half hour cut, which restores much of the lost footage fans have hoped to see for years.

Fango's Bekah McKendry writes in, "Last night, FANGORIA teamed up with Days of the Dead Conventions to host a screening of NIGHTBREED’s Legendary "Cabal Cut". This version is a cut made from multiple sources by Barker and his team to craft a film closer to that which he'd envisioned before numerous studio mandates and cuts to the original. Tickets were sold out just a week after they went on sale. And it wasn’t just fans that turned out to take a trip to Midian. Actor Craig Sheffer (Boone), some of the NIGHTBREED production team, and even Clive Barker himself spoke with fans for almost an hour about the making of NIGHTBREED and the ensuing studio battles over content. Barker and teamed are continuing to fight for a DVD/Blu-ray release of the "Cabal Cut," and in the meantime are hoping to tour the updated version around the USA for screenings."

The team seemed adamant that the only way we'd see a home release of the apparently excellent cut is to prove to Morgan Creek there's a large enough fanbase, and even larger interest. You can do so, and find out more (like info on next month's Chicago screening) at Occupy Midian.
