Following the announcement that seven weeks of reshoots are apparently necessary on the big screen adaptation of Max Brooks' zombie novel, a new screenwriter has also been drafted to fix its endgame.
The Hollywood Reporter brought news of LOST and PROMETHEUS writer Damon Lindelof now tackling the third act of the Brad Pitt-starring WORLD WAR Z before reshoots get underway this fall. WORLD WAR Z was previously moved from this holiday season to next June, and now it becomes clear the film is apparently something of a mess.
Given the vast disappointment in LOST's finale, some are already wincing at the idea of Lindelof signing on to stick a landing. Also, given a) the amount of time this film is taking and b) the continuous over-saturation of the undead in pop culture, is anyone even excited for a WORLD WAR Z film anymore?
