MTV plans to expand its lineup of scripted genre television series with a weekly trip to Woodsboro.
TV Line reports that MTV is developing a weekly series based on SCREAM. Details are scant, as they're searching for a writer, and there's no word on whether Wes Craven or Kevin Williamson would have any part.
It's hard to imagine what form this SCREAM would take. Would each season act as a miniseries-esque sequel, with a different ghostface each run? Not much was left of the younger generation of Woodsboro in SCREAM 4. How many loose affiliates of Sidney Campbell with delusions of gory grandeur can we entertain here?
