If you’re going to open an exorcism school, you’ve gotta staff it with some skilled veterans. And the cast of New Line’s THE RITE, which deals with a seminary student who joins just such a place, has added a trio of solid performers to its roster.

Variety reports that joining Anthony Hopkins (as an expert on casting out demons) and Colin O’Donoghue in the movie are Alice Braga (pictured, from I AM LEGEND and soon to be seen in PREDATORS), Ciarán Hinds (who discussed his recent role in THE ECLIPSE and his thoughts on the horror genre here) and THE MIST’s Toby Jones, the latter two playing priests. 1408’s Mikael Hafstrom is directing the film, scripted by QUEEN OF THE DAMNED’s Michael Petroni from Matt Baglio’s book THE RITE: THE MAKING OF A MODERN EXORCIST and produced by THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE’s Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson.
