MGM's remake of the 1982 Tobe Hooper-directed, Steven Spielberg-produced haunted house classic will be overseen by the EVIL DEAD helmer.
Heat Vision is reporting that Sam Raimi (EVIL DEAD films, DRAG ME TO HELL) will produce the re-do of the tale of a family, whose suburban home was built on a scared burial ground, under attack from the eponymous spirits.
Raimi will aid in finding a director for the remake, possibly much in the way he guided Fede Alvarez towards the currently filming remake of Raimi's own EVIL DEAD.
