NYC's best (and only?) speaking series/live talk show on horror returns to its home at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie St btwn Rivington and Delancey) next week, for its first 2012 iteration, and as per usual, the lineup is killer.
Hosted and curated by author/playwright Clay McLeod Chapman, Fear Mongers: Fireside Chats About Horror Films tasks filmmakers, actors and writers alike with discussing what's near and dear to their heart when it comes to the realm of the macabre, be it one film or many, or a particular issue at hand.
Next Tuesday, March 27, the series sets up shop at Dixon Place yet again with a damned good roster that includes:
• Lloyd Kaufman: Legendary Troma President and creator of THE TOXIC AVENGER
• Jack Ketchum: Renowned horror author of THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, OFFSPRING and most recently, THE WOMAN.
• Jim Mickle and Nick Damici: Co-writers, director and star of acclaimed STAKE LAND and MULBERRY ST.
• Trav S.D.: Author of "NO APPLAUSE, JUST THROW MONEY: THE BOOK THAT MADE VAUDEVILLE FAMOUS"
Fear Mongers gets under at 8 p.m. for the small sum of $5, with a full bar on hand. Come hang!
