Federico Zampaglione is two weeks underway into the shooting of TULPA, and a couple of scarlet-tinged looks at the neo-gialli have arrived. 

Starring Italian actress (and wife to Zampaglione) Claudia Gerini, TULPA sees "Lisa Boeri, a respectable and upwardly mobile businesswoman, frequent the notorious sex club ‘Tulpa’ in search of dangerous forms of pleasure. When her lovers start getting murdered in horrible ways, she tries to deal with it herself with truly nightmarish consequences."

Of the character, Gerini said, "This is the most challenging and controversial role of my career."

Co-written by Zampaglione and Giacomo Gensini, TULPA comes from a story by Italian horror veteran Dardano Sacchetti (DEMONS, HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY).
