"We are the gods now," says Peter Weyland in first "PROMETHEUS" Viral video

We're three months out from Ridley Scott's highly anticipated return to the ALIEN universe, and the most recent reveal, that Guy Pearce would be essaying Peter Weyland (as in Weyland-Yutani) has been confirmed via the launch of the film's viral/ARG campaign.

Our first look into the PROMETHEUS viral comes by way of a speech from 2023's TED Conference. TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual series of conferences dedicated to "ideas worth spreading." Speakers cover a wide spectrum of topics in their presentations, and in this future edition of the event, Peter Weyland talks the legend of Prometheus, the future of cybernetic individuals and his limitless ambition, issues which will surely lead to the events of the upcoming film.

Excitingly, the video and website Weyland Industries (head there for more) were conceived and designed by Ridley Scott and PROMETHEUS scripter Damon Lindelof. The clip itself was directed by Luke Scott.
