Deadline reports that Warner Bros has brought Akiva Goldsman on board to develop "another installment" of I AM LEGEND. The film will apparently not be the long discussed prequel that director Francis Lawrence previously described as "dead." There's no word on Lawrence returning to direct and Will Smith won't join until a script is finished, so expect a fair wait before any big movement.

I AM LEGEND, of course, was the third adaptation of Richard Matheson's incredible novel of the same name, about a sole survivor of a worldwide epidemic, living alone among the diseased creatures outside. It was not incredible.
