Another version of the late 1800s tale, THERESE RAQUIN is in the works.
Deadline reports that Charlie Stratton will direct Glenn Close, Elizabeth Olsen (MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE, THE SILENT HOUSE) and now HARRY POTTER's Tom Felton in a new adaptation of Emile Zola's work.
Popularized in the theater and Marcel Carne's 1953 French noir (on Netflix Instant!), THERESE RAQUIN tells of the eponymous character (to be played by Olsen), a young woman raised by her aunt, Madame Raquin (Close) and forced to marry Camille (Felton). Unhappy, she and her lover Laurent plot the murder of Camille, only to be haunted by their crime soon after.
