Vivendi Entertainment and RHI have a new vampire horror/comedy called BITTEN coming on DVD, starring Kevin Smith regular Jason Mewes (who previously ventured into the genre with FEAST, THE TRIPPER and NETHERBEAST INCORPORATED). The companies gave Fango a first look at the cover art for the disc, which streets July 6.

Mewes plays Jack, a paramedic who discovers a amnesiac young woman named Danika (Erica Cox) covered in blood in the alley behind his apartment. He takes her in, and when she begins suffering the D.T.s, he at first believes she’s a junkie—then discovers she’s “addicted” to blood, and begins helping her feed her hunger. Harvey Glazer directed the film, from a script by Tim McGregor and Tyler Levine. No special features have yet been announced for the DVD, which retails for $19.93.
