The found footage anthology will most definitely find its way to theaters.

Magnolia is unstoppable, it seems. After an incredible 2011 distributing some of the best independent and foreign genre titles, as per usual, they've kicked off 2012 releasing Ti West's great THE INNKEEPERS and picking up the apparently all sorts of good and creepy anthology V/H/S from its killer reception at Sundance.

V/H/S sees Ti West (HOUSE OF THE DEVIL), Joe Swanberg (SILVER BULLETS), Adam Wingard (A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE), Glenn McQuaid (I SELL THE DEAD), David Bruckner (THE SIGNAL) and Radio Silence unite for an anthology all set within found footage. The word out of its premiere has been absolutely great, with HitFix's Drew McWeeney calling the film "one of the scariest in recent memory" and Eric Vespe at Aint It Cool saying it's an "easy genre classic."

The film itself sees a group of burglars sent on a mission to extract a certain tape from a home. There, they find several, each of which contains a segment. V/H/S was also the recipient of this year's "someone passed out in the audience while watching award". Writer Simon Barrett clarified it was most likely due to the altitude in Park City, but whatever the reason, it's still a boss thing to say about your movie.
