Ridley Scott's prequel/non-prequel/"who cares, it's an epic new Ridley Scott film," PROMETHEUS, has a grand new poster.

Shock Till You Drop premiered the one-sheet yesterday, with a non-watermarked version hitting soon after. As most have commented, it does seem to have an aesthetic and tonal nod to ALIEN, despite most involved trying to distance PROMETHEUS from the idea it's a direct prequel.

In the film starring Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender, "a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."

The giant head on the poster was, of course, teased in recently released stills. PROMETHEUS hits June 8, 2012 and it can't come fast enough.
