Final details have come in about the DVD release of
Argentinean filmmaker Adrián García Bogliano’s COLD SWEAT (pictured), which we
first reported on a few weeks back, and it turns out the disc will be
jam-packed with extras. Read on for the info, and updates about a couple of
other previously announced titles.
Dark Sky Films and MPI Media release COLD SWEAT, in which two friends go looking for one’s missing girlfriend and discover her in the clutches of a pair of sadistic ex-revolutionaries conducting horrific human experiments, on January 17. The special features are:
• Audio commentary by Bogliano
• Deleted/extended scenes
• Behind-the-scenes featurette
• Poster gallery
• Comic book
• Trailer
• Teaser
• TV and radio spots

Another noteworthy overseas import from MPI, in conjunction with IFC Films, is the Guillem Morales-directed, Guillermo del Toro-produced JULIA’S EYES, streeting December 20 for $24.98. This DVD includes interviews with Morales, del Toro and stars Belén Rueda and Lluís Homar, plus behind-the-scenes footage.
Meanwhile, although SHARK NIGHT won’t be available in 3D when it hits DVD and Blu-ray Jan. 3 from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, there will be a few extras on the discs. The DVD will include:
• “Shark Attack! Kill Machine!”, allowing viewers to jump to favorite kills
• ”Ellis’ Island,” a cast appreciation of director David R. Ellis
The Blu-ray will have these plus:
• “SHARK NIGHT’s Survival Guide,” with true facts about the movie’s killer fish
• “Fake Sharks Real Scares,” examining the animatronic and CGI FX
• Digital copy
Retail prices are $29.98 for the DVD, $39.99 for the Blu-ray.
