Last month, I got stoked on a trailer for the very cool-looking Norwegian witchcraft film DUNDERLAND. Now, a second, shorter bit of teasing has made its way online.
Directed by Finn-Erik Rognan and Nils J. Nesse, DUNDERLAND hits cinemas in Norway on January 6. Hopefully, it's on its way here soon after. The new teaser popped up on its production company's Vimeo (pointed to by Shock), where you can also check out some of Rognan and Nesse's previous short work (like PUMPKIN, embedded below). Here's the full synopsis and the latest clip:
"1695. A young maiden by the name Johanne Nilsdotter is accused of witchcraft. Her persecutors end her life in the bottomless pits of the Djupkista waters in the Dunderland valley. In the years to follow, numerous horrendous events and tragedies strike the valley."
"2011. The young, aspiring theater director Laura arrives in the Dunderland valley. Together with an ensemble of Norway's premier actors, she will put on a play at an old, abandoned Boy Scout camp. They are soon made aware of the Dunderland valley's dark and bloody history. Then the star actor disappears."
