It seems Tarsem Singh, who previously gave us THE CELL and last weekend's IMMORTALS, is taking on a "noir style fantasy thriller" next.
Deadline reports that the often visually enrapturing filmmaker is eyeing KILLING ON CARNIVAL ROW, a script by Travis Beacham, the man behind Guillermo del Toro's currently in-production monster movie PACIFIC RIM. KILLING sees a futuristic city called the Burgue (reportedly bearing a resemblance to 18th-century London), full of humans and all sorts of creatures including faeries, under siege from a serial killer. Also, there are apparently fairy brothels.
The film is expected to lense next June in New Orleans.
